Lead-Safe Services of Greater Cleveland is led by Rob Curry. Rob has 30+ years experience developing, renovating and upgrading homes in the City of Cleveland and surrounding areas. As Executive Director of CHN Housing Partners (formerly Cleveland Housing Network) and previously Slavic Village Development (formerly Broadway Area Housing Coalition) he focused equally on the well-being of residents, the quality of properties and bottom-line performance. During his 21 years at CHN Housing Partners, CHN intentionally upgraded all properties to be lead-safe. Rob learned first-hand the challenges of owning and managing 2,000+ homes, including making each home lead-safe.

Rob has a passion for finding viable, cost-effective solutions to reduce childhood lead poisoning. Upon retiring from CHN in June 2019, he decided to focus his skill set on assisting homeowners and landlords alike to make their properties lead-safe in a cost effective manner.

Lead-Safe Services of Greater Cleveland, an operating division of R Curry & Associates LLC, was formed in direct response to the City of Cleveland enacting a lead-safe housing ordinance in July 2019 for all rental properties. However, Rob quickly realized that homeowners and tenants are in equal need of these services.

Rob brings to Lead-Safe Services of Greater Cleveland a unique skill set. Having led CHN, he understands just how difficult it is to keep your head above water and succeed in this rental market. Having worked with parents, grandparents and homeowners, he understands how devastating the news of a child’s elevated EBL can be (elevated blood lead level), and the sense of confusion and helplessness that can follow. Finally, Rob is a proud parent of three children who grew up in a home that was constructed in 1938 and contained lead-based paint. Protecting his children has always been of paramount importance, starting with creating a safe home environment.
